In the run-up to the 2022 SWW Conference, we’ll be introducing the speakers and sharing some more information about their backgrounds and chosen topics. First up we have Adam Johnson BSc (Hons) MA FSWW Dip PFS of New Forest Wealth Management.

In their own words;

In 2006, Adam established New Forest Wealth Management, Partner Practice with St. James’s Place. Adam has worked hard to develop a breadth and depth of knowledge and is fairly technical in terms of his approach. Prior to joining the financial services industry, Adam spent time working in Parliament as an agent organiser while he completed degrees in Politics & International Relations and a Master’s degree in Political Philosophy.

Adam has proved a popular speaker at previous SWW conferences, having delivered talks on day 1, as well as workshops on day 2, even hosting an extra session for delegates in 2021 entirely out of generosity. Also tutoring for The College of Will Writing and having been awarded the grade of Fellow (FSWW) in 2014, Adam has shown in no small measure his dedication to the Society, its members, and the wider profession.

This year’s overall theme for the SWW Conference centres around capacity and vulnerability, something which Adam knows plenty about, with one of his courses for the College dealing with this at length. Returning to the day 1 running with a talk titled Health and Care Act 2022 – Much ado about nothing?, he will focus on how the Government have ‘resolved’ care funding. Talking points include:

  • What the changes mean in theory and in practice.
  • Why commentators feel this is not the panacea promised.
  • Will the Act cause more harm than good?

To make sure you don’t miss Adam’s talk, and any of the other topics being covered at this year’s SWW Conference, book your place here. A 2-day ticket costs just £235 for SWW Members, with single-day tickets and accommodation options available too.
