We are thrilled to officially announce the launch of the 2026 SWW Conference, which marks the 30th running of The Society of Will Writers flagship event. This year’s conference takes place on 5th and 6th of October, once more at The Hilton East Midlands Airport Hotel.

To mark this special occasion, we have listened closely to your feedback to curate an extended agenda that directly addresses the topics and speakers that you asked for most.

Day 1: Expert Insights & Our First-Ever Live Panel

The conference will be opened by our Managing Director, Anthony Belcher, followed closely by Chairman of the SWW Professional Standards Board (PSB), Antony Brinkman, for their annual addresses.

For the rest of the day, we are bringing speakers you were desperate to see. By popular demand, we welcome back Paige Gouldthorpe (Fosters Solicitors) to follow on from her workshop last year to discuss Deputyship Applications. We are also delighted to feature Helen Forster (HTF Legal), as well as Professor Lesley King, with both having been high on our members’ wish lists.

Key Highlights Include:

  • The Loving Legacies Foundation: An introduction by Steina McKenna.
  • Trusts, IHT, and Pitfalls: A technical session with Helen Forster (HTF Legal).
  • Pensions & IHT: Expert guidance from Adam Johnson (New Forest Wealth Management).
  • Live SWW Q&A: For the first time ever, we are holding an interactive panel session hosted by SWW PSB Chairman Antony Brinkman. The panel will feature our directors Anthony Belcher and Siobhan Rattigan-Smith, as well as PSB members Nick Ash and Nicola Combe, giving you chance to ask your burning questions.
  • Will Drafting: Essential tips and traps from Professor Lesley King.

Following the day’s events, the evening offers a chance to unwind at our Private Dinner with access to a private bar and entertainment for ticket holders.

Day 2: Interactive Workshops

The second day focuses on rotating, interactive workshops to ensure everyone gets a hands-on experience.

  • Survivorship Clauses in Wills: Led by Chris Rattigan-Smith (WillPack).
  • Pensions & Wealth Management: Hosted by Elanor Levy and David Jones (Marsh)
  • “Does Clive have a Claim?”: An interactive session with Stephen Lawson and Katie Latham (IDR Law).

Following the workshops lunch will be provided, and you are free to make your way home safely.

Conference also offers the opportunity to:
  • Earn valuable CPD hours.
  • Gain up-to-date knowledge on legal and head-office developments.
  • Enhance your client services through real-world insights from experienced practitioners.
  • Collaborate with fellow SWW members and practitioners from the wider legal sector.
  • Engage with carefully selected exhibitors throughout the event.
  • Be inspired to take your practice to the next level.
