What can the Society of Will Writers offer you in 2018?

Everybody should have a Will, but they should only have one drafted by a trained professional. With the backing of the SWW, you could become that professional. Through the College of Will Writing we can provide all the training you’ll need to kickstart your new career with the SWWEPP Estate Planning Certificate. We also have a wide variety of other bespoke courses on offer covering everything from trusts to software. We can also provide business support, and should you need it, drafting support.

Whether you’re looking to fit Will Writing into your existing business, take it on full time or on a part time basis or even if you’re new to the industry, we have different routes to membership to accommodate this. Our Enterprise Opportunity is aimed at those with little to no experience. This route grants full membership to the SWW so you can access all the benefits we offer; however, the actual drafting of the documents is handled by our own drafting team so that you have more time to focus on developing and marketing your business. You simply take your client’s instructions, pay for the documents to be drafted and then deliver these to your clients for signing, witnessing and payment. If you wish to instead produce the documents yourself, we can offer you a powerful software package, fully supported by the SWW and our Technical Team*. Sure Will Writer – Professional Will Suite isn’t just for drafting Wills, it’s the full estate planning package. With a built in CRM system, invoicing, appointment booking, document pipeline and much more – it has all the tools you’ll need to efficiently manage cases and produce your client’s documents. For a free 7-day trial, click here.

The SWW can also offer you insurance through our partnership with Jelf to cover you for all the work you do. We also provide marketing advice and support which covers anything from social media and website content to leaflets, posters, logo design and personalised stationery to name a few. We also have a range of advertising opportunities available to help promote your business through our various channels.

The Society of Will Writers serves as the one-stop-shop for Will Writers and Estate Planning Professionals. Membership to the SWW costs £300 a year, which equates to just 82p a day. The average costs to start up a franchise in the UK are around £50,000, with some restaurants costing upwards of £200k in some cases. Whilst the SWW is no franchise, it’s no wonder that with such low start-up costs hundreds of students have passed through the College of Will Writing this year alone, and are now forming a 1,700-strong member base.
