One month to go until Conference! Daphne Franks is the next speaker in our line up for the SWW Conference 2025.

Daphne taught Communication Skills plus other non-clinical topics at Leeds Medical School for many years and still works nationally as a freelance Communication Skills teacher.   Daphne was unable to prevent her mother, Joan Blass, from suffering a predatory marriage in 2015, even though Daphne and her husband Stephen lived next door to Joan and had raised their concerns about the man to authorities repeatedly.  At the time of the marriage Joan was almost 92 with advanced vascular dementia and terminal cancer.  Because marriage revokes a Will, the man inherited her entire estate and had total control of her funeral.  Joan’s family were not invited. Daphne has been campaigning ever since to change the laws and procedures around marriage to prevent the many such marriages happening to others.  She has given nearly 300 talks about the issues nationally and the campaign has made significant progress.  More information may be found at www.predatorymarriage.uk or by Googling Joan Blass, Daphne Franks or Predatory Marriage.

Don’t miss the chance to hear from Daphne Franks, a must-attend session for anyone in the estate planning industry.  To make sure you don’t miss Daphne’s talk and any of the other topics being covered at this year’s SWW Conference, book your place here. A 2-day ticket costs just £300 for SWW Members, with single-day ticket options available too.
