With less than 2 weeks to go before the SWW Conference 2025 kicks off, we are pleased to share that Abigail Meades will be one of our speakers.

Abigail (Abby) joined Marsh Commercial in 2018 where she begun her career in insurance as an Account Handler, which saw her frontline trading with prospects and renewal clients many of whom were small and start up businesses. Since then, Abby’s various roles have been growth focused that have allowed her to work across different functions to develop and implement sales strategies and client propositions with insurers.

Abby has always had a keen interest in the world of Affinity insurance, in her current role she manages and leads on several Affinity relationships and is the dedicated Executive for The Society of Will Writers.

This is a question addressed to Abigail Meades at Marsh Commercial.

I would imagine most members are limited companies. Up on retiring and closing a will planning company down in a proper way ie all taxes paid, no ongoing complaints or issues and closed correctly with in company’s house , then all monies and assets taken out of the company. Why do we need run-off insurance as there would be nothing in a closed company left . If it is a limited company then an individual would be suing a company, not a private individual. I know many people in conversation have asked this question
