Qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1988 and spent the next 12 years working for various firms of Solicitors managing their Wills, Probate & Trust Departments.

I then took a career break and spent a number of years working with an overseas charitable aid agency and running my own businesses.

I returned to the Law and resumed my career as a Professional Will Writer in 2017 and now work part time for a firm of Solicitors in Street, Somerset , managing their Wills and Probate Department as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. The rest of my week I run my own business, SMG Wills as an independent Will writer serving a large area of East Somerset and North and West Dorset and particularly Yeovil, Sherborne, Blandford and Gillingham and all surrounding towns and villages.

I am available for the preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and the sale of Funeral Plans from Dignity Prepaid Funeral Plans. Also available for Probate advice and general Estate planning.

As a father and grandparent, with years of varied work experience I am able to advise with maturity and sensitivity concerning some of the most important decisions clients will make. All appointments are carried out in the comfort of a clients home at a time and day to suit an individual’s busy lives.
