I am an experienced Solicitor who is now acting independently and I specialise in Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning.   As a Freelance Solicitor, I am able to provide personal, empathetic and understandable advice in a cost effective and timely manner at a time and place to suit you.

My background lies in a partnership of some 22 yrs with a Regional firm of solicitors where I advised all clients, whether they were of modest means or High Net Worth.  Many of my clients were business owners, farmers and the retired.  I also had a large  number of clients who had a vulnerable beneficiary in their family and who needed very particular advice.

I  am a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) and I also have the STEP Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes and STEP Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients.  I  am a fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) and a Dementia Friend.

As a Recommended Solicitor for Mencap, SCOPE, the National Autistic Society and the Alzheimer’s Society, I am sensitive to a family’s needs and understanding of their circumstances when planning how to benefit, yet protect, a vulnerable member of their family. I am well placed to advise on the use of specialist Wills,  Discretionary and Disabled Beneficiary lifetime trusts and the alternative trust structures that are so important to protect against the risk of financial exploitation or abuse of the vulnerable beneficiary, as well as against the loss of their means tested benefits, social care, support and services.

I am able to bring my knowledge and experience of advising clients with Learning Disabled children into advising on the availability of Lasting Powers of Attorney and Deputyship orders for them and offer realistic and practical advice during this careful planning process.
