Our Guarantee of your satisfaction

All Society of Will Writer members contribute into a public indemnity fund held by the Society to ensure as far as is practicable no client of a Society member loses money where the events are outside their control.

The Society offers a guarantee (subject to terms and conditions below) to all clients of Society members that where a client has paid in full for a Will or Wills and associated documents and a member fails to fulfil his or her contract through illness, sudden death or fraud; the Society will ensure that another Society member will take over the contract at no additional cost to the client and produce all the documents as ordered.

Where a Society member has ceased trading and was storing your Will(s) and they can no longer be found and you have a copy of your documents the Society will reproduce new originals, like for like, free of charge.

Where changes, additions or alterations to your documents are required they will be passed to a mutually agreed member for drafting and normal charges may apply.

Terms and Conditions:

This guarantee does not at present extend to bankruptcy (except is special circumstances) nor does it cover any prepaid services for future services such as advance probate services except where the Society has entered into a contractual agreement with the individual company.

Where a client enters into a ‘future paid service’ such as advance probate advice or special offers such as guaranteed probate fees, it is the clients responsibility to ensure the company has the resources to provide them in the future or that there are safeguards in place.

This guarantee does not extend to refunds or compensation only the production of documents as ordered and paid for.

Any claims will only be accepted for work done by a Will Writer/consultant who was a member of the Society at the time the contract was agreed.

Any claim must be accompanied by a receipt from the company.
